Default Need help with 45 acp mag.

About 2 weeks ago my twin brother gave me 45 star automatic pistol with 3 mags .The magazines have a thin plate that runs along the back of them I guess to help them set. One of the mags plate came off , how do I attach it back .

Well I only got a couple 9mm models. One is just like other mags with the button that locks in the center of the bottom plate, another has tabs on the bottom of the body bent over in notches of the bottom plate, and another has a leg off the spring that comes out the side to lock the bottom plate on by hooking in a notch.

If none of these help, or no one else can, post a pic and I'm sure we can figure it out.

Thanks for your help Coils , I thought about it with trying to glue it back on. The only glue I could find was Elmers Glue-All and you know it worked.

Elmers is some really strong glue when you use it right.

I read your question yesterday but didn't respond because I've never seen one of those mags before.

Is it some type a spacer to help fill the magwell or something like that?

I hope I'm not hi jacking your thread w/ dumb questions but are they 1911 mags or does Star use a different magazine?

If the Elmers fails, spotweld or JB weld might work.

Thanks for the tips, I don't know about the difference in mags but the Star 45 is a copy of the Colt .
