seriously, looking for opinions. if you could pick, which one would it be?

    PSL or AR10

the reason i ask, i am debating whether to ditch my psl kit and do an ar10. i am so on the fence that i cannot decide.

If I could have just one, it would be the AR10 first. It is more versatile and has a better scope mounting system.

    LMT, next question please.
Whatever site I read it on as a members tag line, it's the truest statement ever made.

I had the same problem but decided to keep my PSL because of the still cheaper ammo and build an AR 308 with a Tactical Machine upper and lower and a 16 inch light weight mid length barrel. 7.62 nato is still a lot more expensive but you have more kinds to chose from. I sold an H&K 91 to buy a Galil years ago and still regret selling it so I avoid making those kind of choices if at all possible.

AR10,still somewhat heavy but less than a PSL and better ergonomics by far and better accessory mounting system, for scopes ect., my preference.

ar-10 if long range accuracy --otherwise FAL--

i can see why people have PSLs IF they got plenty of ammo though.

really depends on your personal situation.

i have went strictly bolt action for long range shooting --mostly to conserve expensive match grade ammo. so it is a priority deal--

For sure j427x,, bolt guns are my toy of choice for any long range work,,always.

The DPMS 308 I had was not bad at all but still way to easy to dump several mags just playing around, and at >a buck a round for target grade or hunting grade ammo I used in it,,it counts up quick!!! And to me even though the ammo is cheaper by a long shot for the PSL's, your just not going to get any where near the accuracy unless you go extreme with the build and dump tons of money into it, then I still doubt you'd get anywhere near as close to the same performance anyhow sense true target grade parts just aren't available for PSL's. Dollar for dollar,,, still an AR platform if you must have a semi auto target gun.

+1 on the FAL's, all I've had , have shot great, still not target gun performance ,, but pretty acceptable for the cost of the guns,,,
well at least ,,,for what costs,,, used to be that is!!!! I have no clue what a decent FAL is going out the door for around here now????? Haven't really looked lately.

The supply of PSLs is just about gone. AR-10s are in current production.

I'd finish the PSL kit, stockpile 54R while it is (relatively) cheap, and get the AR-10 later.
