    Default Attaching a flash hider

I want to attach a flash hider on a rifle that I gunkoted but I dont want to ruin the finish soldering.

would JB weld be able to hold up to the heat?

Is the bbl threaded? I have used JB weld on flash hider threads and it works very well. Just make sure its the one you want on it for sure, cause it takes alot of heat to make it come loose, its rated to 750F.

It's not a twist turn? I've got one if it is and will gladly send it to you. I guess I'm just saying more info please!

Sure dont look like it will twist. Its a inch pattern not sure if that matters.
It has a notch that it slides into.

I had a metric fal kit in the shop. It looks like a twist turn. The inch set up is different.

Twist/turn? The only FAL I know of that doesn't use threads are the G1 variant. They have a lug on the bbl, the muzzle attachments are "quick disconnect". All the others thread on. The L1A1 I had used a slot in the bbl to secure it, a small washer fits between two small ears at the rear of the flash hider and is pinned in place. The edge of the washer fits down in the slot and keeps it from unscrewing.

that is the set up I have. I tried pinning it in but what I used let it slide off.

I will look into again and see if I can figure out how to get it to stay on.

You said it kernel I only used the most simplistic terminology I could having a g1Myself .lug on the barrel and all that. If it isn't threaded and all that. Trying to give the simplest answer for the simplest question. Wouldn't you agree sir?
