Default What if I move to CA?

I have no plans but what if I decided to move to CA. Can I bring in my out-of-state state AK? What if I just have a kit? I guess I could leave it in WA with a friend.

Your AK and large cap mags are contraband in CA along with a lot of other guns and many other defensive use products.

In short, you're screwed, blued, and tattooed when you move to the People's Republik of Kalifornia!

any rifle that even looks like an assault rifle would be illegal. any gun that holds more than 10 rounds is illegal.

That is what I figured. I'm glad I don't live in CA. More and more from Cali keep moving up to WA. I hope things don't change here.

As long as your AK has an orange colored tip, it should be fine.

Just kidding. I can't wait to move from Kali.

I've read from another site, folks in Kali have been modifying their guns to make the magazine removable with a "tool" with the addition of a 10 round mag. All of the evil features are left on the gun.

if moving to PRK. you cannot bring in mags that hold more than ten rounds, ar's and ak's if there on the ban list you cannot bring them. If you want a ar or ak it must not be on the list, you can have a ak or ar if it's configured, mag must be fixed to have a pg or to have a removeable (without the use of a tool) mag it must not have a pg.

if you want more info on what we have to deal with out here you can check out this forum http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/index.php
