I didn't even know I wanted a Twinkie until I could no longer buy one. Then I started hating Unions even more.

You can hate Unions all you want but in this case they made concession after concession while management made bungling mistake after mistake and still earned multi-million dollar bonuses.

Management was so stupid there that they virtually destroyed the Wonder Bread line of bread, they refused to look at healthier lines of snacks, and added preservatives to bread that changed the taste and texture costing them customers.

I suggest you do some research before blanketly blaming the Union for Hostess failing.

BULLSHIT!!! They DID change the formula of the bread-the company that bought them the 2nd? time they were sold only bought them to sell their Butternut brand thru them. They were also so fucked up that they had to have TWO people to deliver...one for snack cake and one for bread products!! That's the union for you! By they way, when they closed in Indy, I was going to a place that sold abrasives(for my blast cabinet), and happened to drive by their plant-2 DAYS AFTER THEY CLOSED- and they were still hanging around. The dirtiest bunch of yard apes I've ever seen! It still turns my stomach to think I ate anything those dirt bags made!
