Conn. Fatherís Stunning Claim: Sonís School Is Teaching That Americans Donít Have the Right to Bear Arms

    Snippit:

A Connecticut father is accusing his son's school district of teaching children that Americans do not have a constitutional right to bear arms. Steven Boibeaux of Bristol, Connecticut, is claiming that his child, an eighth-grader at Northeast Middle School, was given a social studies worksheet that is anti-Second Amendment in nature -- or, at the least, opposed to the conservative view of the provision.

In an interview with Fox News' Todd Starnes, Boibeaux said that he's "appalled" and that the school seems to be "trying to indoctrinate our kids." The worksheet in question, published by Instructional Fair, is entitled, "The Second Amendment Today," and it allegedly proclaims that American citizens do not have the right to guns.

"The courts have consistently determined that the Second Amendment does not ensure each individual the right to bear arms," it purportedly reads. "The courts have never found a law regulating the private ownership of weapons unconstitutional."

When it comes to interpreting the Second Amendment, the worksheet provides additional parameters through which the constitutional provision should be viewed. Starnes explains:

The worksheet, published by Instructional Fair, goes on to say that the Second Amendment is not incorporated against the states.

"This means that the rights of this amendment are not extended to the individual citizens of the states," the worksheet reads. "So a person has no right to complain about a Second Amendment violation by state laws."

According to the document, the Second Amendment "only provides the right of a state to keep an armed National Guard."

Boibeaux also alleges that the teacher told the class that the Constitution is a "living document" and the worksheet seems to drive this point home, noting that "the interpretation changes to meet the needs of the times."

"I'm more than a little upset about this. It's not up to the teacher to determine what the Constitution means," the father told Starnes. "I just don't appreciate this as a parent. I expect teachers to teach my kids and tell the truth - not what they think their point of view is."

This report comes as debate over classroom studies across America -- and CSCOPE and Common Core-aligned curriculum, in particular -- rages.

Black Blade: Ah yes, the Liberal_progressive "Living, Breathing Document" crap. The US Constitution means what it says and says what it means. Only an ignorant moron like this "teacher" would believe such horseshit. It's not rocket science.

My wife and I went to my kids school on more than one occasion to complain about a teacher trying to indoctrinate my kids with their liberal propaganda.

Yup. This sounds about right. All these "Educated Elites" should actually open a book and read about how Socialist Countries have treated their educated in the past. The perfect definition of the phrase "Useful Idiots".

That's the reason for the school gun free zones....to keep some parent from pulling some commie "Teacher" or "Professor" outside and blowing their F'ing head off!

The article I read about this story said that the District School Administrator said that she was going to pull this course from that particular elementary school, but said nothing about other schools in the district. Teachers/Schools/Administrators/Principals/Text Book Manufacturers should all be sued for intentional alterations of history. Hell you can sue a doctor for malpractice, why can't you sue a school system for the same type thing?

Then to add insult to injury with the Socialist Indoctrination Camps we call the public school system, there is a push on to outlaw "home schooling". Home schooling IMHO is the ONLY way to make sure your child is properly taught the correct history, as well as values.

Well this falls in line with the dumb ass on MSNBC saying that kids belong to the collective and not the parents. Home schooling is part of that. The family unit is one thing the progressives can't touch and they hate it. The schools are at odds with the parents, but there are places where the school is the only structure kids see which is why those. kids are so easy to control. But the Family Unit is the biggest threat to their agenda becasue they can't control the narrative in your home. Teachers have a golden opportunity to fix the current and future problems in America but many choose to use that opportunity for the exact opposite.

How can you preach institutionalized racism when a kid goes home to a white dad and a black mom who invite their vietnamese and mexican neighbors over to dinner once a week? They hate that because the time the kids spends at home can unravel everything they try to indoctrinate them with at school.

I bet this would get a lot more attention if the text had said free speech only refers to the media and is not an individual right. Oh yeah people would be up in arms (pun intended) about that. Good for this father who paid attention to rhetoric being taught at his kid's school. We need a lot more like him.
