so in effect they did not "take away the firearms" they now can control firearms by preventing them from being bought by "prohibited" people?

what if the government "prohibits" about everyone from owning one?

sounds like EU BS to me, or mexico--

Why is the government "Prohibiting" anyone from doing anything addressed in the Bill of Rights? What powers were supposed to be limited by the Constitution again?
"What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?" -Thomas Jefferson-

"Our rights come from our humanity and may not be legislated away -- not by a vote of Congress, not by the consensus of our neighbors, not even by agreement of all Americans but one." Judge Andrew P. Napolitano

lawyeriease= "prohibited" and "qualified" that means the gov can say WHO can have a firearm or not.

and since they define who is qualified or prohibited the gov can change its tune on a whim--at any given time.

has anybody up there got a pair? somebody needs to stand up to this utter BS!

It is a good thing that this is not law, yet. Let's hope that when they do debate these laws, more people stand up to it. Now is the time to voice your opinion to your reps.
