Paul Anthony Ciancia
Authorities have identified the individual accused of using an assault rifle to kill a Transportation Security Administration agent inside the Los Angeles International Airport early Friday morning.

Law-enforcement officials tell NBC News that that Paul Anthony Ciancia, 23, entered the airport around 9:20 a.m., Pacific Time, and opened fire inside Terminal 3. The Associated Press also reported that authorities named Ciancia as the suspect.

According to the AP:

A law enforcement official, who was briefed at LAX on the investigation but not authorized to speak publicly, said the gunman was wearing fatigues and carrying a bag containing a hand-written note that said he "wanted to kill TSA and pigs." The official requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly.
The suspect was in custody and being treated for injuries sustained during an exchange of gunfire with police.

At a press conference prior to the suspect being named, Patrick Gannon, Chief of Airport Police at LAX, said that an individual "pulled an assault rifle out of a bag and began to open fire in the terminal." Officials said that seven people were treated for injuries as a result of the incident.

What a crock of shit.

Thankfully, the Perp didn't know much about guns or tactics. Appears to be a "Blaze of misguided glory / Cop Assisted Suicide".

Here is a pic of the weapon used. Appears to be a Mini-14 or Mini-30, perhaps an M1 Carbine.

Just my $0.02. Clothing Photograph White Asphalt Flooring

Well it's starting again. Might be another buying frenzy if the media and the left start talking gun control.

LAX shooting prompts renewed focus on AR-15 class rifles

Snippit:

A movie theater in Aurora, Colo., an elementary school in Newtown, Conn. and now Los Angeles International Airport – they all have one thing in common: the choice of gun used to terrorize an unsuspecting public.

Friday's shooting at LAX left one Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employee dead, two more injured and an unknown number of witnesses harmed. It started around 9:20 a.m. PT when the gunman, later identified as 23-year-old Paul Ciancia, reportedly walked to the security checkpoint in LAX's Terminal 3, pulled a rifle out of a bag and started firing. A chaotic scene ensued as Ciancia allegedly made his way through the security area and into the terminal, where he exchanged gunfire with police before being apprehended.

Immediately speculation ramped up that it was an AR-15, the same kind of gun James Holmes allegedly used to kill 12 people in Aurora, the same gun Adam Lanza used to kill 26 at Sandy Hook Elementary.

Since then, the rifle has become the target of gun-control advocates, who question the need for a semi-automatic weapon. In the immediate aftermath of the Washington D.C. Navy Yard shooting in September, early reports jumped on the AR-15 as the weapon used in that incident that resulted in the death of 12 people; those reports were later proven false as Aaron Alexis first used a shotgun, then a pistol, according to reports.

Ciancia used an AR-15, which ABC News Los Angeles reported Friday afternoon. And with this news, proponents of gun-control will feel even more emboldened, as the likes of Piers Morgan displayed on Friday.

The debate will begin again: Is it the person or the gun laws? But that's a question for another day. For now, the question is: Why the AR-15?

Black Blade: Well, at least it wasn't an AK.

Why an AR? BECAUSE IT'S THE MOST POPULAR SPORTING RIFLE IN THE COUNTRY. FOR THE SAME REASON CHEVIES AND FORDS ARE USED IN MORE CRIMES THAN BUGATTIS AND LAMBOS. MORE POPULAR AND MORE AFFORDABLE.
What do these asshats think? The manufacturers put chips in the guns to turn owners mind to homicidal mush?

as sorry as the press is today we will likely never know what really went down --could it be some disturbed dude that was tired of getting strip searched and body cavity probed decided he was going to get a little pay back?

or was this some other type of criminal altercation? did he know the TSA types he was shooting?

the press all their going to do is report "the evil black gun went on a rampage!" you got no reasons WHY--or WHO , or if the perp was wacked out on meds or street drugs- the main things you need to know ate left out for propaganda reasons.

for all we know the AR could have been planted after the crime-- more manipulation and mind control!

i wonder why the murder capital of the usa isnt on the news more. i can only guess they dont have that much time on gun murders to devote to a anti- no gun city isnt it a shame and it ,murder capital jumps from like savannah,ga.at one time to some where else. these hot spots arent just the evil black rifle but mostly hand guns. even if all firearms disappearred someone would use something else from a knife to a rock. seem no end but they just seems to focus on the gun and not a reasonable cure dont they?

BOTTOM LIME IS A IDIOT WITH A AR 15 WENT ON A SHOOTING RAMPAGE. IF IDIOTS WITH ARS KEEP DOING THIS THEY WILL GET BANNED .

HE KILLED ONE PERSON . A 5 YEAR OLD WITH A 22 LR COULD HAVE DONE MORE DAMAGE IF HE AIMED .

THE GUN IS ILLEGAL IN CALIF THE MAG IS ILLEGAL IN CALIF, , PACKING IT LOADED IN BAG IS ILLEGAL IN CALIFORNIA , TAKING IT TO A AIR PORT LOADED AN NOT IN A LOCKED CASE IS ILLEGAL, SHOOTING PEOPLE IS ILLEGAL.

THE SHOOTER IS STILL ALIVE AN WHO KNOW WHAT HIS ISSUE IS . IM USRE HE WANTED TO GO OUT IN A BLAZE OF GLORY LIKE ALL THE OTHER MEDIA FUELED IDIOTS IDIOTS . MAYBE HE IS A MEAMBER OF A WEBSITE THAT IS FULL OF ANTI GOVERMENT GUYS ALL BITCHING ABOUT T HE COPS , THE GOVERMENT ,TSA , DHS AN HE FELT HE NEEDED TO DO SOMETHING TO PROVE HE WAS A MAN. MAYBE HE BOIGHT THIS GUN THINKING zOMBIES WOULD ATTACK BUT REALIZED HE HAD ABSOLUTELY NO USE FOR IT AN NOBODY THOUGHT HE WAS COOL SO HE HAD TO FIND A USE FOR IT . .

MAYBE HE WAS BRAIN WASHED BY THE ANTI GUN PEOPLE TO SO THIS SO THEY COULD PASS GUN LAWS AN .

MAYBE HE WAS MOLESTED AT THE CATHOLIC SCHOOL HE WENT?

HE HAD A ISSUE WITH TSA GUYS FOR SOME REASON . IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE WHAT HIS EXCUSE IS

i was watching the news last night and they gave like 10 minutes to the airport shooting--just going on and on about the TSA guy being a hero, how the shooter PLANNED the thing so perfectly--

i was like thinking the shooter must have had a "broke spring in the valvetrain".

and i was wondering how many gang-bangers got killed overnight in LA that the national media DIDN"T report on?

what was planned perfectly .

what I dont under stand is how a guy with a AR was only able to kill one person ? one of the victems was hit in the foot or leg twice an is up walking around ?????

how the hell do you get shot with a 223 twice in the leg an still have a leg ? I keep wondering if this was a 22 lr ?

The sad truth is if some one had done this who had training an skills he could have killed a lot of people . It seems to me he really only wanted TSA agents for some stupid reason .

as bad as I feel for the victim an his family, getting shot an dying does not make you a hero . all this media BS calling every one a hero is crap . He didn't do anything heroic he didnt ave lives he didn't stop the shooter he was a victom . Im not trying to be cruel but the media needs to stop over sensationalizing this crap.
