I was at Cincinnati's Coney Island Park this past summer when I looked up after hearing a loud noise to see Fifi flying overhead.

About 50 to 60 volunteers, including a core group of about 30, have been working on the plane since the project restarted.

Boeing donated a military hangar on the east side of Oliver, providing a work space that would facilitate completion of the restoration.

That's great,,I can relate to just how long it takes to do a project like that, close to forever it seems, we worked on the 25 for almost 6 years before it was completely done,, but we only had a half dozen of us to do it and no Boeing facility's support, all private funds, time, and space.

And a shit load of work,,burned the midnight oil many a night!

I think back when I was young you could gwt a p-51 for under 5000.00 dollars to restore and fly.
