    Iirc the us used steel jacketed ammo in WW2 also due to shortages of copper

    Last production ammo I used that had other than copper jacketed bullets were 7.5 Swiss and some old Turk cu-pro nickel 8mm. I can't say I've seen much else though, other than the occasional WW11 military stuff.

    I can't say I've seen any "modern production" ammo that have a steel cased bullet, educate me if I've missed something out there.

    I've shot a bunch of the 8mm and 7.5 and never had any issues myself, at least that I've noticed. And what guns I've used that in still shoot great.
