Default Appeals court tosses California concealed weapons rules - oh ya!

Kalifornia gun laws got a black eye today:::

"The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said Thursday that California is wrong to require applicants to show good cause to receive a permit to carry a concealed weapon. The court ruled that all law-abiding citizens are entitled to carry concealed weapons outside the home for self-defense purposes."

The final disposition of the case by the 9th Circuit Court is, "Reversed and Remanded". San Diego has two choices, accept it which means the PRK becomes a shall issue state, or file an appeal to SCOTUS in which case it will be 2017 before we get a ruling.

    Still great news though.

I read today that 11 states are filing a motion with the scotus because PKNJ is also a may issue state and this affects others states, so it would seem this ruling can be applied to this motion to get NJ to become shall issue

For those who are interested the entire decision and dissent is attached.

Since there was a dissenting opinion this will most likely go to the Supreme Court who, like the previous poster said may not hear the appeal until 2017 unless they push it up.

The 9th circuit Court of appeals is widely known for being liberal-left leaning. Its often called the 9th "Circus" Court of Appeals. For them to stomp all over the Restrictive California Carry Law (San Diego County) with Big Legal Stompy Boots really says something.

Anyway, please see attached. It's interesting reading.
