    Default Widener's AK???

Widener's shows AKs for sale. Does anyone know the manufacture of GP-WASR-10? Or is it just any parts kits that CAI can get their hand on.
$499.00 sounds decent at this time. Hi-Cap, slant brake ol'skool wooden stock.

And I am wrong. 5.45x39. Looks a lot like the Tantal. They have a lot of others for use by "Special Forces". But this one seems to be the beast for general issue. I guess you could do worse. It does have 3-round burst. That would be a plus in my book. I'd carry one.

Romania, they come in as a single stack mag well, which are ten rounders so they will fall into the "sporting rifle" class. CIA (or a sub-contractor) opens up the mag well for double stacks and adds US parts to meet 922r compliance.

    Postak

the old WASR=10s had real cugir parts like chrome lined barrels and so on . i have bought a few of them back in the day for $249 shipped , they have matching numbers , they also had some really rough looking wood furniture --like dealing with CAI you get plenty of freebies like free wood splinters--LOL

i then sold off the mags for $10 each --IIRC they came with three back then, sand and stain the stock, hog out the mag well , replaced the trigger with a better one, so with a little work i ended up with some excellent shooters for about $300 and they even look good.

they can still be a good buy--just go over it with tn a fine tooth comb and expect a little tune up.

my only gripe about them so far is that the lowers shell is quite thin compared to "real" romainain AKs they do seem to be heat treated though. so far none of them have cracked or broke.

it is better when you can inspect one first-- the most often problem is trigger bump -- this is easy to fix . lots of kids like this problem --sort of like free bump fire--LOL!
