Ammo and guns - lots of ammo and lots of guns! Gotta outfit a small army and the cheapest way is to buy cheap Russian and Eastern European ammo and cheap Mosins and CZ-82s. Actually the best deal going right now imo.

Get mags for your guns now. They are still kind of cheap and gettable. There are lots of real good ones easy to get all over the place.

Even though they have doubled in price sense last month, I would recommend doubling your magazine count per gun if you have less than two for each one. Pistols included.

I would have to go with ammo first, new gun second and spare parts last. 210 rounds doesn't last long as a basic load in a fire fight and it sure won't kill a lot of food. I guess I have been lucky but my guns or the ones I have used in the sand haven't broken even after really hard use. If you have a functional gun and ammo you can always get more parts, guns and ammo later.....

i just stumbled on some brass case 7.62x39 today. i admit i added some to my inventory. and i ordered a lmt BCG and charging handle for my "project" rifle. the LMT is a 5.56 bolt --i am going to use an AA bolt in 7.62. so that leaves me with a spare 5.56 lmt bolt.

never seen a LMT bolt break. but it don't hurt any to have a few spares.

100 rounds is plenty when you have 1000 of your buddies with the same ammo around you and are pretty certain of resupply within a few hours to a day.

In SHTF you might be without resupply for months or even years.

    My personal safe limits is

    500 per pistol
    1000 per rifle (semi auto)
    500 per shotgun

and at least 5 mags per weapon.

I would say AMMO!!!!!!!!!!!!! That INCLUDES reloading supplies and equipment..just because all of the ammo is gone, doesnt mean that you have to be defenseless.
I have been keeping certain powders and extra primers handy with my dies as well....

I just, "MAGGED OUT"! AIMsurplus.com has real good prices on AK mags. Picked up a few more AR mags too.

    I feel better now.

    Going where the bargins are:
Good lights and good optics. Other home security gear.

Good training for self/home defense-- prevail & stay out of jail. If that's too much money/time get books & DVD's on the same stuff.
    Here's a good place to start :

Massad ayoob, lethal force institute, ammunition sales, handgun ammunition, tactical gear

No LFI grad has ever been convicted of a bad shooting. Of course , not everybody gets accepted & some don't graduate.
