I think your right it looks like the stubs will be a b*tch to get out, until i noticed the weld holes.
when you say brazed in and welded ?
do you mean they brazed the reciever to the trunnion first and then spot weld in place or is/would it be possible to braze rather than weld?????
if so then we would have to drill out the trunnion holes (aka AK trunnion), then heat up the receiver to remove the brazed in stub sections??????????

To all sig amt kit owners

I like to get original goodies with my kits when possilbe, I ordered a swiss cleaning kit from cheaper that dirt, it was complete and never unused and cheap.
the rods are stainless steel with brass fittings and brass tips. the rods alone are worth the cost $ 10
I ordered two bayonets they are swiss they are brand new as in brand new with scabbards. I paid under $25 for two brand new bayo's these advertise when available for $ 50 + seems they are used by knife makers because the steel in the best I ordered these from s g used my club membership.

The stubs will need to be milled out. it appears they were brazed in then spot welded. I don't think you will be able to heat the trunnions enough to remove the sheet metal as it looks like they copper brazed them in.

I'd like to build my kit.

I have a kit I bought a few years ago when the guy making the AR70 receivers was considering making SIG receivers. Then he discovered there was little interest.

I've been waiting for one of these for some time. I have a kit that's been staring at me for too long. Please keep us posted.

I have new sheet metal parts on order, they are a little different than the first sets, I am going to try a different approach, The parts should be here in about 3 weeks.
