    Default M1 Carbine receiver?

Does anybody make them? I've seen parts kits but no receivers.

Southern Ohio Gun has them - if you're an FFL holder.

Yep & there always adds in the Shotgun news for receivers also. With all the carbines being sold by the CMP, it seems like everyone is really pushing the parts, ammo and accessories right now.

These guys may be worth calling. They sell all the parts and complete rifles. I didn't see receivers listed but I have bought gobs and gobs of AR stuff from them and I think they are best. And reasonably priced for the amount of care and effort that they put into those rifles. http://www.fulton-armory.com/

riverbank used to sell real cheap kits minus the receiver, for a while in the late
90's several comanies offered 80% receivers for the carbine if your a builder

if you are looking for a FFL item(store bought) try riverbank, SARCO, if you get a receiver get a copy of the 1944 ordinance manual(free on-line) and assemble
Sprat and sprat1 are one and the same.

Thats a good idea. If any one finds 80% please pass the info on. That would be a good project. Oh great, this started with 2 shot out barrels, now I'm thinking of a mini-mill and a build. And I will STILL need 2 barrels. $$$$$$$
