    Default .308 Galil build

I officially started my .308 galil build today with the arrival of the first part!! I got the bolt from ORF and have a receiver on order. I was told they are not going to mke the receivers till the bbls arrive in a month or 2, thats ok as I need to get the rest of what I need first.

Mine personally? Get the Saiga .308 if you want a conventional AK look.

The .30-06 is a way more involved conversion, there's a fairly detailed outline of it at the Saiga 12 forum.

I honestly just want one in 8mm, I love that round.

Pirate, I look forward to seeing the project unfold, even if I have to wait until after Basic training to read about it.

Default No point to dabat the 8mm

Just becose they lost the conflict. but how many 8mm rounds are there for the asking. We need to strip the dead enamy for our needs.

It is going to be an expensive build, but a worth while one I think. I realy like the galil better than an ak. my .223 ARM is accurate and a fun shooter one in .306 wil be a hard hitter.

That bolt kinda looks lonely without a rifle to wrap around it

was thinking that it wouldnt be as bad (cst wise) since the receivers are out there....

did they shank the price on them? or is it the parts??

It willl run about $1,200.00 for the build, I am going for an ARM configuration with an IMI bbl. since a complete orf build is about $1,700.00 it is a little cheaper.
