    Default ORF Galil Problems Continued

Check this out. So I take a close look at where the bolt locking lugs contact the receiver and it looks like the right side one is a little distorted. Raised up on the top side, like it has been peened back a bit. Very shiny on the contact surface.

Then I recheck headspace. The bolt easily closes on the no go gauge that before firing checked out perfectly. Yes, I do know how to check headspace. Nothing wrong with the bolt.

I am calling ORF tomorrow. 60 rounds fired and this thing is an unsafe POS. This, coupled with what appears to be excessive wear on the ejector rail is telling me the thing is TOO SOFT!

I'm sure mine is the only one. Beware.

I am sure they will take care of it. I have bought one of thier galil receivers and it works fine. I have bought a lot of stuff from them and they are excellent vendors to deal with.

I think that's an issue with the possibility of slam fires with commercial ammo (softer primers) using the original Galil bolt sans firing pin spring

    Did I do that?
