Default My scratch built VZ58 receiver

Here's some pics of my vz58 practice receiver in aluminum. I bought the plans for the VZ but wanted to do a practice run to see if there are errors in the plans (there are a couple)
Before anyone says anything the pic is a little deceiving. The floor is actually .775" thick so no FCG or sear can be fitted. The exterior needs some final easy milling. The hard part is done though and the mag, striker, bolt, and carrier fit perfectly.

I'm thinking an aluminum 762x25 using pps43 mags....

Way to go! How did you align for the barrel journal? I assume you're using a shell cutter for the outer grooves?

And that's a good idea for "recycling" the aluminum test case into a pistol round! You could build your own trigger group like I did and presto you have a pistol caliber VZ. Very cool.

    I like!

Dave something from Canada. I think I saw them on e bay or somewhere like that. Look for dave or The Gunnery Blueprints Grande Prairie, Alberta. Super easy guy to deal with and fast shipping. When I finish I will send what I misread or was off a little on the prints so he can update them if he wants.

Winn, when are you going to retrofit your machine with power feeds, D.R.O., and controller so you can make some 'beautiful work'?

The impediment to beautiful work in my shop is not machine related.
