    Default KP-44, Vz58 fcg SA

I took the low profile Vz Semi-auto fcg system and put it into the KP-44
lower. This can also apply to the PPS-43.
Today was the test firing, and it was successful.
SBR necessary on this build because the barrel is 10"

This Finnish model is base on the PPS-43 design, but uses the 9mm Suomi
mags and drum. I shredded my heavy bag downstairs testing this thing.
    Totally worth the mess.

Please share the FCG info, I got a PPS43 I'd like to build.

    Thanks guys.
Here are some shots of internals.
I was too cheap to buy the Vz semi fcg, so I took an original fcg and chopped off the auto sear
and copied the semi design. The bolt had to be drilled out completely
thru. I used the SGN approach to threading the face of the bolt to accept
a 12-24 machine screw, drilled out, to allow passage of the firing pin.
    (buy several of these)

The PPS43 is very similar and should work the same with some slight
    changes.

Striker system. Takes a longer striker, and striker spring guide.
Operates without getting snagged or hung up.
I have the specs on these mods and more photo reference.

The lower accepts the Vz pins and trigger without much modification.
I chopped off the '44 trigger and welded it over the Vz trigger.

May be difficult to discern the internals, but the system fits well.

The latch spring had to be chopped and moved.

    My first SMG conversion.
The bolt on this was not particularly hardened and fairly easy to
    machine and drill. Beginners luck.

Longer striker? Is the striker hole in the bolt concentric with the firing pin centerline?
    Really cool BTW.
It's only metal, it's not magic.

The striker hole center is dropped below firing pin centerline.
This allows the striker to catch properly.

Thanks. I would consider doing some limited conversion work.
My building is strickly a spare time endeavor.

Thanks for the info, pics and video. That's a great idea.

Did you use the VZ58 firing pin too?
