Default prexis p7 build. i wanna but looks hard

the price of the 762 25 ammo is so attractive and the supply of ppsh43 mags only makes the build economical it downright demands it. anyone have any experience with hk builds?

    Salty

the build itself is not so bad but you gotta watch a couple of things the number of compliant parts is one

head spacing when fitting the barrel is another

also i have had trouble with prexis

i bought a soumi and PPsH kit and was planning to come to the US to build them but a friend of prexis got oinvolved now i have nothing and prexis wont respond, besides banning me from the forum there

as i'm not a US citizen i'm not protected by your consumer laws

so thats seen as a open licence by some to rip off folks

seems prexis is one like that

    be careful eh

I've been dealing with prexis for about two years and have no complaints. I receive excellent quality stuff at a reasonable price....Sometimes Mike gets behind, but always catchs up on it. That's not strange because he probably takes on too much work.

    sorry i'll resay that

i have no issue with mike his work from what i have seen is good

overworked i dunno.. i'm a long way away so only know him from the site and asking for some parts to be put aside for when i get there

    but his mates...

    another story....

deal with mike and you'll be ok i think

if his mates get involved .. i think that depends

sorry if i dont fully explain , its a long story and i'm still not sure of a lot of it

but mike directly was not the problem

sorry if i made it seem that way

No, Jack, please explain away. As one of Mike's "mates" I'm dying to hear this one.

Salty, the build isn't too bad. We have a tutorial posted and there are a couple of guys that are more than willing to help you get it built. There's a bit of a wait for them but well worth it in the end.

I did the build tutorial on the P-9. It's a good build with quality parts. Mike did a fine job on these kits. They can be dressed up in multiple ways.

There couldn't be a compliance parts issue - I'm assuming 922r - there is only one or two foreign part in the gun!

Second - the barrel comes pre-chambred - and there is really no such thing as "headspace" in an unlocked blow back operated firearm!!

    ok

im the guy with the P7 tutorial and the P7 builds here on this site and the weaponsguild site.

is this a AR level build? NO and its not advertised as one.

is this a HK build? NO its a totally different operational system.

is it more like a combo of a cetme style bend and then some light welding and milling?

    YES

i did the first 2 p7's with just a drill press and a rotozip and the jig that is in circulation.

can you go crazy and do a super build like my 2nd one and have a carbine that looks total kick ass? yes you can.

does it take some time and finesse? yes it does.

is there a compliance issue? uh NO its a US built kit! never imported, never demilled and unless you WANT it to have foreign parts it has ZERO(other than the mag).

heres a pix of my latest one...

    hope this helps ya.
