    Default m-1 carbine/10-22 build

several months ago there was a thread on 22lr and i posted about building a copy of a m-1 carbine using a ruger 10-22 for the doner. i tried to find the thread, but no luck, so here it is. digging thru the safes i found it.

m-1 carbine stock, carbine front and rear sites, WWII mag pouch, sling, etc.

you have to disassyemble the ruger 10-22 mag and remove the insides from the m-1 carbine mag. cut a piece of wood to fit inside the m-1 mag and drill a hole in the bottom of the 10-22 mag and screw them together. ( use care when you take the 10-22 mag apart and put it back together like it came apart) i think i used a putty of some sort to shape it together where the 2 mags come together. i just us the regular ruger 30 round mag when i shoot it.
i am going to redo the mag later, the one i used was a junk mag ( just trying to get it to work)

    now thats sweet!!!
ive seen all kinds of redoos on the 10/22 platform
but this is one of the more finer ones!
    truly a clasic!
how much did it take to fit it in the stock?
did you have to modify any metal on the 10/22?
