There was a news article on one the sites entitled something like " ten things you can't believe are legal " and the flame thrower lead the article. Apparently there is no federal laws regulating them and only state or local. There are surely regulations where you can discharge one I am sure, but other than that. It seems anyone can own or purchase one

Yes, flamethrowers are completely legal. My uncle had one about 40 years ago. Wish I knew what happened to it though.

Since most fire codes consider water extinguisher's useless.... a lot of people have been scrapping them as they are stainless so the best place to find em' is your local scrap yard... I paid five bucks apiece for half dozen of em' a couple month ago.

2 psi residual valves for hotrod brake systems would be a good idea to use as one-way check valves. I would assume brake line would be good for the hard lines as well, and non natural rubber fuel line for the flex line. You'd probably want to look into using the braided steel cased line though. Those wet dry pressure tanks from Harbor Freight/ O'reily's/ Home Depot and either one or two paintball CO2 tanks mounted to an ALICE frame would work.

Old fire extinguisher housings may no longer have the structural integrity to hold pressure. Those are replaced every so often due to the potential for failure, and you KNOW it would fail at the most critical time (Murphy's Law). Yeah have fun with that!

I feel like this is going to be a project in Sept for me when I'm visiting my parents. Apparently FL has no laws against it, and they have a large back yard.
