Default First 3D printed 1911- in stainless

This news hit the web today - the blog article below gives all the details and some great pics. The fit/finish is really very good. (Edit: reading carefully they say it was post-print cleaned up/polished. I'd really like to see a pre-polishing pic).
It was only a matter of time. Perhaps in another 15 years or so when you go to a gun store you might just have them print out the design you picked online- no hassles with inventory/shipping from the factory etc. Same thing for replacement parts too.

    Thanks for posting this.
That's really interesting how far they came in just the last couple years.

Some of the wacko Left people are saying HOW EASY IT IS NOW. They have no clue that it is cheaper by a ton to buy a gun vs the cost of a 3D metal printer.

Damn right it would, and I have some ideas also!

    I'd like to do this in 9mm/45acp. (I'd use a K grip from a HK MP5K clone).

    Guns are the great equalizer.

No 'knockout games' when they face the equalizer. No holocaust, no slavery.
