It's almost that time.....time to test fire this baby I made the saw cut using the 4" saw blade. That was the last machining operation. I started the hand fitting of the Dlask parts, and I was able to use all the parts. I was able to learn a whole lot about how the P228 functions by having to tweak every part in the kit. I'll keep you guys posted on how the testing goes. I give more details of the work I've done on my website.

Firing line makes probably the best (if not only) U.S. made milled AK receivers. They have them in standard and under-folding stock versions, and with press & pin and threaded barrels.

I would turn down the sound and add http://www.angelfire.com to your restricted site list in IE before clicking the link. Goddam angelfire has a java script that loads the IE sidebar with advertising links. This is a new ploy that allows them to avoid popup blockers. Firing Line has a rat-a-tat-tat background sound that will scare the bejesus out of you when it loads the page!

If I made the solid model, would I get to keep the receiver? I'm guessing I could probably have the model finished and checked over in about a month.

The testing of the P228 went great. I had problems with the Dlask mags, but when I used my SIG P229 mag all the problems went away. I have the frame black anodized and for the most part finished. You can check out all the details on my website. Here's a pic of what the P228 currently looks like....
