Default Walther Vollks Pistol for real bulders

I just saw J247's post on the sheet metal 1911

well here is a 9mm version made by walther, I cut and paste this from another site, this pistol reminds me of a sig P-22X series pistol especially the 228 with the sheet metal slide also the decocking lever. since I have buit 4 P-228/9 pistol frames and have extra parts this has me thinking??????????

remember the thread we had last year on the volks rifle 1, only no one made one?

Interesting. The op rod/recoil rod looks like a split pin.

Only 2 known models of those are in existence so they be pretty valuable. Apparently Walther had its hands full pumping out P-38s and other stuff and only made some prototypes.

the more I look at this design the more I see where Sig got its design Ideas from for the P-22X pistols,, the sheet metal is double wrapped and welded, the op rod does look like a split roll pin. instead of a decocker( as I originally thought) the lever is a safety, take down lever is the same, the internals are similar the barrel is held by a steel block riveted into place, it would have easier to use P-38 triggers and hammers and hammer struts and springs, the mag is a P-38 mag also this pistol is single action blow back 9mm

    edit
I just saw a thread on converting P-38 mags to sig P-6 mags, again this sig connection
