Default I got my pin pusher stuck on my ram

I got my pin pusher stuck on my ram...I got a 1 1/2 20 ton HF press. I just ordered the pin pushing adaptor. Now it is stuck on the ram...Getting it off may be tricky.. I guess I'll have to get it machined to a larger dia.. once I get it off.. I think I need a gear puller to extract it...anyone else ran into this problem.... B2B

Sounds like a "personal problem" - maybe take it up with Dr. Ruth?

Have you tried a dead blow hammer or rubber mallet strike on the pin attachment? That might get it off.

Maybe heating it up with a torch would help.

After you remove pusher if can? Remove paint from the ram to free up a little more space. This is what I had to do on mine!

Of course make sure you have backed off the set screw.
Pour some type of lube in the top of the pin pusher, some will seep in.
Go in your shop and find a nice big hammer.
Get a block of steel and gently, at first, start sending shock wave taps to it on the top.
If that does not move it back off for a few.
Go in your house, do a couple of shots and a few beers. Then go back out and beat the dog piss out of it. What goes on will come off.

Hey that sucks - you working on the VZ's or the Tantal? - I think I'm going to go ahead and get that large vice this morning and then weld together a small attachment plate so I can use it for pin work.

Thanks guys I got it off, it was undersized or the ram is oversized I did remove the paint on the ram prior, and I did beat the snott out of it with a brass hammer and then a steel hammer then a air hammer, then I lubed it with Krol oil (had a few shots) out of beer....cussed a bit then I broke out the dremal tool and used a cut off wheel to split the SOB down the side and a bit more beating and it came off, I guess I'll have to machine it out to a larger inside DIA.. never easy....I got the dam pin pusher to make it easy...shellback.I was working on the third 1979 Romni kit, the Vz58's are done...less test fire...the virgin yougo is next...then the tantals...and later on will be my second 1919. after that I'll have to find something else to build. Maybe I'll rebuild that Vz52 w a SKS barrel.. B2B

dude I feel a favor going out. If you need any help and don't have any machine tools send it over and I'll skim about .005 diameter off of it.
