I don't see many ball end mills on Ebay but you could try there.

I've had mixed luck on ebay. A lot of the "new never used" bits I've got from there are used or regrinds. Ebay is of little help when you get sent a box of crap. I'd also stay away from the chinese end mills as they don't last worth a darn. If there's a fastenel around you, you can order what you want over the phone and pick it up in person to save on shipping.

For rivet plates I just use a carbide ball shaped burr, it cuts good and works fine in a drill press. Next time you see a Snap On tool truck parked behind an auto shop stop and get one.

    All the usual suspects, ENCO,MSC,Traverse.
I've never bought from e-bay. On the Practical Machinist website, "Tooling for sale" I find a lot of good deals on well made HSS mills, buying cheap end mills and then trying to use them is disappointing. I've also bought fromJoe at Plazamachinery.com. He has deals like 10 - 1/2" end mills for $20. I've done this deal with him several times ,usually when I buy something else. If 8 out of 10 are good, you are money ahead. I've always rec'd brands like Cleveland, Niagra, etc. Good quality.

    Enco is very good.

Before I got a mill I used an end mill in a drill press to remove rivets, worked like a dream.
