Default A new Desktop mini CNC mill on Kickstarter

Saw this today. Looks like a decently designed unit and with a robust, rigid looking alumin extrusion frame. They say you'll be able to do soft metals like aluminum and brass. Probably not steel.

The price isn't too bad for a complete unit that should be easier to put togther than many other kits I've seen. Check out the link above as it shows a lot of examples of things you can make. That said their delivery schedule looks very aggressive and its common for Kickstarter projects to have delays and other delivery issues. YMMV..buyer beware.

It is pretty 'thin' looking... you can do aluminum and steel with a homemade mill made from MDF if you want it just takes forever because of the light cuts and small passes you have to make.
