Default "High Tech" Yugo gas valve removal tool

I could hear a very distinct "gritty" sound when I flipped the grenade sight up and down ( thus opening and closing gas diverter) on my Yugo parts set. So I thought it would be a good idea to take a look. In order to get the damn thing out I made this tool from a cheap $ 4.79 set of Harbor Freight screw drivers, this one is a 5/16 x 6 one. The blade will have to be a least that wide to work. After about 2 minutes with the dremel this was the result.

The nut holding the valve came off with one good twist to break the staking loose. Damn gas valve was rusted. Cleaned it up, but is very pitted, wonder if this will make a problem?

Looks like the multi purpose tool that's also used for the dust cover retainer.

did the same thing with a short stubby screwdriver, works like a charm! Dremel made short work of it.
