    Talking bolt-cutter to rivet squeezer!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee I just made my own bolt cutter rivet squeezer!!!!!!!!!!! uhh, I need a backing plate for the round part of the rivet, I guess... but other than that, it was awesome, took me two hours of going slow with the dremel, and I was done!

I should be able to do the rest of the work on my own, I made that rivet tool, and I ordered a trigger guard rivet jig. I'm gonna try the cold barrel method to get it back into the trunion... we'll see how that goes.

Glad to hear it. I agree, there's nothing better than making your own tools. Except maybe using those tools to make something else

What are the mods needed to make the bolt cutter into a rivet crusher? And what size bolt cutter is sacrificed to the AK gods?

let's see, I used a pair of 24" bolt cutters, I've seen others made from 18".

on a side note, I broke my rivet tool yesterday... seems I adjusted the jaws so they were too tight. I believe I may have weakened the part that goes into the trunion a bit as it snapped right off. Scared the crap out of me. So to all those who haven't made some or used them, make sure it's not too tight!
