I have only done one so I am not an expert. I used open end wrenches and for the Yugo gas block. a stack of misc. shims. I used a thin wrench to do the RSB but you could grind a thicker one to clear the barrel. All this was used on top of 2 1"x3" stl cross pieces.

As they say in the gender re-assignment (sex change) business:

It's easier to dig a hole than build a pole.

Do you have large size bits? For the cost of 2 drill bits you can make your own out of 1" square steel stock. I just drilled two holes in mine, the gas block hole being strategically located near enough to the end to clear the block. The FSB hole was right in the middle.

Hcpookie, on yours did you drill holes through the sides so you can bolt the 2 halves together? Im going to go measure the barrel at each spot and see what the closet drill bit size is.

I used the wrench trick and pressed them off. I had one TFSB that just would not press off. Damn thing was so tight it started to slightly deform it so I got tired of messing with it and cut it off. Ill drill out the barrel and shorten the barrel to 104 length. I pressed one GB off that was tighter than any Romy pin Ive pressed so far. Thing sounded like a gunshot going off.

I use open ended wrenches too. I pressed 10 gas blocks off last month for parting out kit and stuff for my builds. Every one was pressed off using open end wrenches
