Winn R, thanks for checkin it out.

If anything, i'm worried it went too far with the step down (0.035") - we'll see how she fires! btw, the original step i measured of several was 0.025", curtis recommended 0.030"

Update, got a reciever done tonight and cycled it (first time with step down rails) even though i made my step 0.035" it was not too tight. Cycled with very little play - it was a nice change. cycled smoother and with less rail play than a 1.6mm recever w/o steps.

Final update.. i had to narrow the width significantly and make the steps very light similar to original. Also, the depth is now down to 0.030" Before the wide step curved so much it wouldn't interface correctly with the bolt rail guide.. few more hours of filing later! done.

key, you need a tight fit everywhere. keep step narrow.

Also, setup to mount in a vice, much easier!

Did anybody ever make or sell this jig by twistedneck? (I know ak-builder has one that woprks for his jigs only), I'm more intrested in the bolt driven jig, I'd love to have one...
