    Swordfish,

I can't say I've ever heard of them. The price is tantalizing. Ok, so where are you seeing these things at??????

They will work with some mods to the tongs. Curtis at Ak-Builder may be able to help. He has tested the welder and with an extension cord to drop the amperage, and some modification to the tongs it made some nice spot welds.
Freedom is not free. Some will perish to preserve it for the many. Just as our Forefathers did before us, we must take up the battle and not waver. Victory is our only option.

Think skinny extension cord, and really really long.

Have the HF spot welder, made the lower tong from some 1/2" aluminum bar stock
with a mig tip pressed into it. no extension cord works great.

I know the welder is only on for a few moments but I'd be afraid of a skinny cord catching on fire.
