    Default HF mini mill kapoot!!!

    appears I broke the drive gear for the spindle.
    engines running but spindle is not not turning .

    drilling out a oversized hole..................... who has replacement parts for these

    www.littlemachineshop.com has all the replacemnt parts you need for about $25 or you can get one of their belt drive conversions for $120.

    You broke the most commonly-broken drive gear on those things. The one with two gears.

    I have broken about 5 of these on mine over the past few years. I keep a few on hand at all times.

    Fortunately, they are inexpensive and replacement isn't too hard.

    The trick to keeping these from breaking is to not load the machine down so much. If, like me, you actually USE the machine to cut things, then slow speed will be your friend. Sharp cutters also make a world of difference.
