Had to dig around to find them. They are *apparently* de-milled STG-2000 rifles that IO sells/sold. IO built their product by combining their Weiger repro stock sets with Romanian WASR rifles with combo gas blocks. The ones I held were typical Romanian factory "quality" - poorly set rivets, canted sight blocks, etc. That is probably why they are being sold as demills - the ones I held were just cobbled together.
I say that to say that this would be a great way to get a .223 parts kit (sans receiver) for $275! Anyone comfortable with BIY could easily make these way better than the original WASRs were... Most all the compliance parts should be there - not sure about the internals but the furniture is definitely US-built!
.223 magazines would be the only hard thing to find, but at that price it is easier to justify mag prices.
I may just have to get one of these myself
