The cost of parts probably makes up for any savings. Though it could be a way to go if you are going to use us made floorplates/followers, and replace the spring...

EDIT: huh, it says they are preban, so I guess they might be worth it in like california or something.

Go to AK-builder and get the follower and floorplate if you need/want/are concerned about 922r.

It's a good way to go....

But not as good as the $3 Chinese mags I was buying in the 90's or that $1.50 deal at Sportsmans guide a couple of years back....

Tapco AK mags just use AR springs, you could probably use those.

10 of the 20 mags I ordered (on different dates) came today.
Two were definitively of Chinese manufacture, with stamped sideplates, one rusty (romanian)? ribbed mag, the remaining 7 were yugo i believe. three of the mags had some good rust and or discoloration on them, but They were all dripping with packing grease and oil. the remaining mags had pretty decent finishes. I will have to see if the rust comes off when i clean them up.

    Summary:
Great deal! maybe i will get a couple izzy's in my next batch (one can only hope right ) ill have to compare these mags to my next batch, hopefully they wont be the "bottom of the barrel". pics added

That looks just like the ten pack I got. One ribbed chicom, two side stamped chicom and 7 flat back chicom.

Id say that 9 out of the 10 did have the camo you were talking about. Took a wire brush, some sos pad, a little elbo and gas for the cosmoline goo. Cleaned them up as good as I could, then got out some flat black and sprayed em down. Look a hole lot better now. For the price Im not complaining.

I agree with your statement about the price, good deal! I am going to leave them as they came for storage though.
