The Swedes are a neutral country but knew they'd side with the West if anything ever happened back in the days of the Cold War .
They bought HK G3's, which are called AK-4's in Sweden. As much as I prefer the FAL to the G3 system, the G3 system is probably a better choice for more extreme climates like Norway and Sweden.
The Swedes adopted the FN FNC in 5.56mm several years ago and they're called the AK-5. The Reserves still use the AK-4 in 7.62x51mm.
A couple of years ago the AK-4's were taken in and the iron sights were removed and Aimpoints were installed in the place of the irons.
