    Default M1A

    M1A

This is the original NM M1A I got from the old
Devine, Texas Springfield Armory around 1972.
The scope was aquired in 2001. It's a Springfield trademark also.
    It's a MOA shooter.

    Question

Question guys. A ran across a TRW? M1A at a local pawn shop. Someone has shortened the barrel and made it look like a SOCOM. It has a brown fiberglass stock with a hole in it on the right rear where I believe the full auto stuff would protrude. I know very little about M1A's but damn it does look good. They want $900.00, comments please.....
Praise the LORD and pass the ammunition!!!

Is it a demilled welded receiver? Trw made the M14's and I don't think they made any without the FA tab that hangs down from the receiver just behind the hole in the stock. I'd make darn sure that tab is missing (if its a reweld) or was never there (if its nota reweld).

You'll have to take a number, there are other offers for the same deal.LOL
The second one has an A.R.M.S. #18 mount on the way.
A Tasco Super Sniper is going on it, an original Japanese early production that I found.

trw never made a semi auto m-14. it is a real m14 or a reweld. it is considered an mg or a reweld. take the stock off and look to see if you can find the reweld mark.
if it is 900 for and mg run to buy it w/ papers it worth around 15,000
