ALways liked the 03-A3 my Grandfather bought after the war and had it sporterized.
Great rifle, and the 30-06 is a very useful caliber for N.A. animals.

The 30-06 is probably the best all around caliber in America today. It is certainly the most popular. However, I decided that the .308 will serve my purpose adequately. I did this strictly because, not too many months ago, large quantities of new manufactured .308 was available at reasonable prices. So, I purchased enough .308 to last me for a while. If 30-06 was so easily available, I would have stayed with it. I still think I'm OK. I do wish that I could find a good high number 1903 Springfield. I promise that I will give it a good home.
