Where can I find them for that price? I looked on GB and they were starting at $750 and going on up to $3500.

I think only in Canada. They are really nice accurate rifles with unusual features, they were way ahead of their time.

That's what I figured after doing a bit of Googling around the web.

Whatever makes you happy. I just sold my AR, I can't stand plastic.

Don't get me wrong. I like me some good milsurps too. I just happen to have more of the AK and AR's at the moment.

On my particular AK's, they are mostly steel and wood, except for the pistol grips, which are either plastic, bakelite or wood.

For the AR's, I'll agree with you that milspec stocks, grips and forends are usually plastic and really feel like it. That's why on my latest AR's the forends at least got swapped over to aluminum full float tubes. IMHO the Magpul stocks are a little sturdier than the milspec stuff and have a more substantial feel to them. Especially the higher end ones like the PRS or the UBR which weigh about twice as much or more than a regular M4 stock. Our AR pistol grips will eventually get switched over to something rubber coated for better feel.

Overall I wouldn't say "I can't stand plastic." but rather "I don't prefer stuff that feels plasticy.". Probably just splitting hairs there but oh well.

Sorry to get your thread off track.
