All the pics are in the gallery under "bret"who graciously provided many comparison pics.Yugo 308 barrel/magwell is moved forward for the longer cartridge/mag requiring longer lugs and stem.
It's only metal, it's not magic.

Reciever and FCG is standard. The front trunnion is different in that the mag catch portion is machined further forward and the barrel is further forward in the trunnion. They went the different bolt/trunnion route while others moved everything back eg. Saiga and PSL.

I used a AK-74 bolt for my Saiga .308. It works fine, and all I had to do was open up the bolt face for the cartridge base, and slightly modified the extractor to slip over the bigger rim. That was it!

So, there shouldn't be all that much different for a .308/8mm Yugo bolt compared to the standard Yugo bolt.

But the 8mm is a longer cartridge, Wouldn't it require a longer bolt?

Yes, unless you modify the hammer so it will reach the standard bolt. That means the hammer will have to go about 1/4 inch further forward on it's firing swing for the 8mm. Either that, or lengthen the rear of the bolt and make a new firing pin.
