Wink M14 mags in Saiga .308's

    http://www.jobrelatedstuff.com/forum...4&f=64&t=81051

I was holding off posting some of my stuff on Gunco until Roger Cope e-mailed me today. Seems like the cat is out of the bag, I had no idea that someone was working on this and did my own conversion or mods as some might call them.

BTW: Copes has regular M14 mags and they super nice new manufacture. http://www.copesdist.com/m14.htm

WELL LOOKIE THERE! Nice to see others thinking along the same lines. I'm glad to see that lug welded onto the mag. That's what I'm going to do to some G3 mags. I figure I can make some lugs from scrap steel chunks I have laying around, or weld up a HUGE bead like I did with the Saiga bayonet lug, then dremel/mill to shape. Cool stuff!

Sang did you mod the followers? my only problem with the m14 mag is the price. I am looking at least 4 guns with 2 mags each it does add up. Maybe I should get just one done first and worry about the cost later.

Back away from the M14 mags and nobody gets hurt!!!

Listen to Pookie -- chop up and modify G3 mags. G3 mags are your friend. Everyone wants to modify G3 mags. You never heard of M14 mags. Everyone knows M14 mags are junk, and shouldn't be modified.

Sanders -- trying to keep the price of M14 mags coming down by slowing demand and hoping to once again buy them for $6.00 ea.

Jeff's Shooters Supply has the Asian M-14 magazines for $15 each NIW, or 10 for $135.

    Hey guys............

    http://www.akforum.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=528

Looks like this guy got it to work well.

My Galil .308's came with IMI/IDF modified M14 magazines, and the Yugo .308's magazine looks a lot like a M14 magazine.
