Sounds like you have been busy! I'd love to have an 07.

You should be able to pick up a .308 barrel for not too much. You may want to look around for something like a Remington 700 take-off that someone converted out and needs to get rid of. Then just get it lathed down to the right side an you're done. Heck, you may be able to get a longer barrel out of the deal too!

easyer said then done, the only problem that Im having is the extractor cut out on a Rem. barrel it is 360 deg. and I have not eyed the bolt to barrel fit yet but there might be some extra work, i.e. reface and remout chamber to remove the old extractor cut. the good news is there is plenty of meat to cut on to get the f/r sight and gas block's on.

    No.
I got side tracked by my FANfield project.
Ishipore 308 Enfield, converted to work with FAL mags.

I did decide against building this Yugo conversion to work with SureFire Saiga mags and instead going to get it to work with FAL mags.

    I have a couple FALs
An RRA 308 wich used FAL mags (I call it the FAR)
    This here project, the FAK
And I also have a FAK-II in mind. Which is the 21" Saiga-308 converted to FAL mag,
    And now the FANfield.
