I would have to go to Sheels and look at the gun.

    It is a huge revolver.

Wouldn't you have to enlarge the hole in the trunnion to accept a larger barrel, and a larger bolt?

That would have to be a heck of a large barrel (bull typw I'd think) and a heck of a buffer, if it didn't barf the back of the rifle off.

If you can pull it off, then good on ya, I'd be a little wary of it though.

There is a few 50 beowulf,s built on AK 47 trunions. there is also a 458 socom on the tromix site.. I am playing around with building a 458x1.5 barnes with a rebated rim it is made from using 458 win mag brass cut down. be careful with a 454 casull they have a real high chamber pressure something like up to 60,000 psi. It is a tough call as what the ak trunion and bolt will hold up to my guess is around 50,000 psi is ok but that is a guess. the 50 beowulf is loaded to only 33,000 psi the 458 socom has not be saami speced so I dont know what the pressured it makes. they are bolt clasifed as pistol rounds though.
as far as 50BMG every thing will need to be a lot bigger this would call for new bolt trunion carrier ect. If I had the capabilty to build that stuff I would not be playing with AK,s I would be designing my own weapon.
