    Yeah...the plan was to get some original SVDK or TIGR-9 mags.

    ETA I see that some of the information is already posted in this thread. What I am really looking for is how "short" of a bullet can you go with them. There may be some possibilites of using .308 equipment if there is a short enough bullet.

    Ok...bumping my own thread for reference referral. :-)

    I do have magazines in hand (TIGR-9) and want to get this project finally off the ground. I am thinking of using the front stub and trunnion off of a M76 as the basis for a reweld receiver.

    Any thoughts on a bolt or anything else?

    Could you get a tigr receiver in Russia, demill it, import it, and reweld it in the US?

    63,000 PSI is up there. Id want a three lug trunion on that. are any of the 30-06 sagias avaliable any were???? that would be my starting point.

    I'll take a look at the TIGR-9 bolt and trunnion and see how they have it set up.

    I believe the Tigr-9 bolt is three lug but it rotates the other way from the Saiga.

    Can anyone tell me where I could find blue prints for the SVD/Dragonuv/Romak??Pardon my ignorance,I just like the idea of the semi auto version of 7.62x54r and would like to build such a rifle,
