Default 7.62x25 threads/ what happened to them?

Meant to post this in the "Converting AK's to different calibers" forum. Could a moderator please move it there ?
    Thanks

Just got thru reading over 26 pages of 7.62 x 25 conversion posts that range from 2006-2008 with alot of good technical info, but hardly any pics that still exist, and just about all of them ended with no final result or pics of the completed project. They just end and leave ya hangin................. Pretty big letdown.
Does anyone know or have current pics or info on how these turned out?

I can tell you that the 7.62x25mm carbine Getit built was F*^king beautiful. Its the rifle that made me want one enough to start gathering parts. If i remember correctly it was leaning up against a shot up truck. I looked through my saved pics for it but couldn't find it anywhere.

Here's mine. I used the same resources for info. on how to build it. The first Barrel I used was borrowed from a ppsh and it was a POS. Live rnds got stuck in the chamber as well as having accuracy issues. I bought a reamer from clymer and turned a barrel down from a .308 1919a4 mg barrel. Reliability is 100% now, and accuracy dramatically improved. Look at my album here for more pics of it before I put the new barrel on. By the way petro116, your rifle looks awesome.

    petro116,

Thats really sweet............... very close to what i'm thinkin of except i want a one piece 16" barrel.

What do you still have to do to finish yours?

    acmech,

    Yours is lookin good also.................

Any problems with the drum, misfeeds, jams, etc.? I've heard they're problematic . Also haven't seen any for x25's for sale, only Suomi's.

How much was the Clymer reamer ?

Any Do's or Don'ts tips either of you'd like to share?

My 43 kit from MGS is suppose to be here tomorrow, but i'm not in a big hurry to start though , too many irons right now.............

I just need to fine tune it. I have only brought her out for one test session.
I was having problems with the hammer not reseting. I had 1 string of 3 rounds, other then that, jams due to poor reseting of the hammer.

I have since filed my ejector more, since that was still too long and robbing my power for the reset.

I also never made an access for FP removal, so i am redoing the bolt atm.

Here is a barrel-rechambering calculator you may find useful, when choosing a blank to re-chamber
    AmmoGuide Interactive - ReBarrel/ReChambering Guide "

Go to the second column at the top, bottom choice "Rebarrel/Rechambering Guide"

I just ordered a couple of 30-30 blanks, as I'm sitting on ALOT of x25
