this is what im thinking about VVVVVV
Im sure rifled chokes would help a 410 slug. loading the brass cases to the max that the gun is safe with would also increase performace. Howevwer the original intent Of my idea was to rebarrel with a .41 rifled barrel or what ever bore that a Rifle bullet would fit into and make it a rifle not a shot gun. My thinking was stock mags but made into a rifle with the bullet sticking out of the case like a normal rifle round. standard shotgun slug rounds with the slug seted past flush will likely use up to much case capacity for what IM thinking.
any one notice the 410 AR uppers in 410 SG at copes. HMMMMMM
A few thoughts -
What is the chamber pressure on something like that?
What about a .458 SOCOM? Tony couldn't do it for retail production, but I'm sure someone could do it for a one-off
For that matter it could work for the .44??
What would you say to making a new bolt face from something like 4340 steel with a different configuration to allow for practically any caliber? That was my first thought when I field stripped the -12. New bolt face, new barrel, and presto you're set - magazine modifications notwithstanding...
