Ok I have a list here that I've been keeping of parts that I will definitly need for the .45ACP build, I just wanted to run it by everyone and see what they think before I go any further.

Green Mountain .45acp 20" Barrel blank

    AKM receiver

    MAC-10 Grease Gun mag well

Romy G parts kit from CFS (for all the basic AK parts like dust cover, bolt, carrier, front trunnion, rear sight block, ect...)

Cetme or G3 triple frame front sight/gas block (in place of RPK GB)

G3 cocking tube with nonreciprocating charging handle

The one thing I do need is a RPK handguard retainer

The other thing I believe I will need is a custom made gas piston the same diameter as the piston head but the whole length of the piston, for use with the G3 nonreciprocating charging handle tube.

I believe all these parts will work and complete the .45acp build

Anyone who see's any problems or something that won't work or I forgot please let me know.

    Thanks, Saigaist

    yes,
what is the need for a double charging handel's ? --G3 tube with handel; just use a chunk of hyd. tubeing and cut a piston to fit the od of the tube.

I would remove the charging handle on the bolt carrier, and use the G3 charging handle, also it would make it nonreciprocating and folding

I will have to alter it a little so I can put it on the right side instead of the left since I'm left handed.

I was going to ask restorit to make me a piston with an o.d just a tad smaller then the G3 cocking tube, that should work fine right ?

Green Mountain's "gunsmith special" page has ".40/10mm" 1x20" round blanks for $33.00.
