BIG54R if you haven't seen this thread yet, there's a lot of links to builds, they start on page two.

For 210, I think I could make my own blow back specific bolt.

Besides welding the bolt to the carrier, are there any other things that should be done to the 74's bolt/carrier to use in the x25 application? Lighten the carrier if you're going blowback?

Lighten the carrier if you're going blowback?
As far as I know, no. You only lighten the carrier for a gas op system.

carrier lightening is a must if your gonna do a gas op set up in this..

im working on both blowback and gas ops right now...

the blowback is obviously gonna be much much easier.. drop in a bolt of heavy enough weight and shoot away, while tinkering with the gas op system.

im using DOUBLETAPME's gas op set up on that version.

Excuse the stupid question, but why is it so hard to set a x25 as a gas operated???

OK, where the hell is this thread from Doubletapme??? I have done a search and while I find some of his other threads, I can't seem to find that one. I'd like to print it out. TIA,

Here you go, if the pics don't show up for you let me know and I'll try to help.

I did put up a few pics of the bolt somewhere on here but don't remember where.

ETA, it looks like you might have to sign up on Weapons Guild to see the stuff

ETA again, here's some of the text from one post and a pic of the bolt.
I took a lot of weight off the carrier. It now weighs just 9 ounces. My gas port is the standard size (.149) for an AK47 rifle. I may have been able to get away with a smaller gas port but reliability is important to me.
