    2xtm is a avery good builder and comes up with some wild stuff!

    im still waiting on my erie ordnance bolt to show up... dont know whats going on there.. they took the money 2 weeks ago and confirmed the payment... havent heard shit since then and get no reply's to email or phone calls.

    Is the gas operated 7.62x25, really gas operated?

    I am starting to think that perhaps the gas pressure only unlocks the bolt, and it is the recoil forces that cycle the action. That would explain why you need the light bolt, and the gas port very close to the chamber. There were a number of pre ww1 machine guns that used the above setup.

    hey 2nd Doubletapme has an active thread over there on x25 and uzi's he will respond to all questions and thoughts, you should check it out, Same as here got to have certain post count to get everwhere. (pattern room)

    cant really speak for doubletap.....

    but from our discussion on this its actually gas op'd as he didnt move the gas port that far and he lightened the carrier sooooo much and then port he used...

    seems to be just like regular gas op'd AK... its the initial push that does it all.

    im gonna do another one his way in the near future.
